Book Talk:  A Founder for All
by Barb Baltrinic
August 18, 2014  6:30 PM
Tallmadge Library

What an amazing surprise! I did my book talk on my novel tonight at the Tallmadge Library. While unloading the car I look over and I see this guy that looks amazingly like my cousin, John Glanzer, from Florida. He starts waving, and I walk over and not only was it John, but he brought his wife, Joy Glanzer, their daughter, Hillary Glanzer Santos and her husband Daniel, and extended family! What an amazing surprise! Afterward we all went out to dinner and my husband, Michael, and son, Mike Baltrinic, joined us. My evening was perfect in every way!  The book talk was great, especially with family there, as well as other guests.  I enjoyed presenting tonight and sharing my upcoming adventures with my next novel, and my upcoming trip to Elizabeth, NJ, where Abraham Clark lived.

Copley Fairlawn Retired Teachers

What a great group of ladies!  I enjoyed sharing my novel with them, touring the beautiful home of the hostess, and having a great lunch!  These retired teachers could really appreciate the tenacity of writing a novel draft while trying to teach all day!  Thank you for being such a supportive group!

BOOK TALK:  A FOUNDER FOR ALL

Cuyahga Falls Historical Society at Cuyahoga Falls Library

March 12, 2014 (Wednesday)

A snowy night and slick roads didn't dissuade over a dozen folks to come out to hear the story of Abraham Clark! The Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society was a great audience and I enjoyed sharing my book with them!

BOOK TALK:  A FOUNDER FOR ALL

BY BARB BALTRINIC

DAR group at Fairlawn Country Club

March 8 2014 (Saturday)

The members of the Akron DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) were an excellent group.  It was a perfect match for my novel!  Among the members were three teachers from Hatton and Hyre; a friend of my husband's aunts, a friend of my cousin, and the wife of the pastor of the church, AND a distant cousin--also of the Clark line!  What a terrific surprise!  I received rousing compliments about the talk, and several have already read the book.  They are also wanting to help me find our missing paperwork keeping my family from proving direct descendency from Abraham Clark.  This has charged me up, and I am looking forward to doing some serious writing on this next novel!

BOOK TALK: A FOUNDER FOR ALL
BEDFORD ARTS
November 22, 7:30 PM
at Bedford City Hall
165 Center Rd
Bedford OH 44146
Open to Public

What a wonderful evening!  The new Bedford mayor was there, and so were sevreal members of my family!  Rick and family, and cousins Helen and Frank, and, of course, my husband Michael.  It was great to see them in the audience.  The night was rainy, and history buffs were probably home watching the 50 year anniversary programs about JFK's assassination, but those who braved the night, I believe they enjoyed my presentation.  The Bedford City Hall is absolutely lovely....and it felt a little like "coming home!"  (I had lived in Bedford the first four years of my life.)   The audience has many great comments and questions.  I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
